Greetings and Happy New Year everyone. We just got home from South Florida last night and I'm just catching up on my bulletin boards and forums.

I have read and seen the movie "Into the Wild". I read the book first and was glad that I did as the movie skipped around a bit and having read the book first, things fell into place easier for me.

McCandless (the main character) was very naive about living in Alaska, even if he did arrive during the spring and tried to do the survival thing in the summer. He had a lot of other issues with his family which contributed to his unrealistic expectations and his own mortality.

All in all, however, a good read and decent movie.

    Von

I agree, Mark! Like an annoying child or co-worker, ignore it.
Can anyone see the ice-bowl-candle yet?
